The Winestein Formula The consumer merely selects a wine of interest and passes the bottle's barcode under the scanner at the Winestein Shelf Station. The scanner sends the barcode information to a computer, which in turn, sends an audio recording back to a speaker located at the Winestein Shelf Station.
Wine information is conveyed to the consumer prior to purchase by a computerized audio system. The audio is a human-voice recording that is 20-45 seconds in length and provides the consumer with information regarding the wine's name, origin/appellation, grape varieties, vintage, flavors, press accolades, awards as well as foods that pair well with the wine, and how long the wine can be "cellared." The price level of the wine determines the length of the audio recording. A person buying a wine at $6.99 will hear about twenty seconds of information while the consumer spending $120.00 on a bottle gets more information. Its size and cost effectiveness allows you to install multiple units to ensure that your customers are only a few steps away from the information they need to make an educated decision about which wine to bring home.
